Finding hidden files on a hard drive on a docking station

    My PC died so I took my hard drive out and put in on a docking station. When I go on the docking station I can't view the majority of my files. I think I might have put my full profile on hidden as family were using my pc. If I do a search for music nothing shows up but if I remember a bands name it will find it. Anyone know how I can get all these files viewed again? There is no view options, show hidden files on the external drive when I view it through the docking station. Any help is much appreciated.

    Look on external, drive / windows, documents,.user, user username,
    eg user,joe, pics,music,videos.
    I presume you mean docs, were set up as a password protected user on a windows pc.
    or try download ,install free program ,recuva.
    its free ,google it,
    Enable ,deep scan, external drive.from recuva menu.
    you can do scan for just music,
    or documents to save time.
    on my 14gig drive scan takes 25minutes.

    or boot pc from a linux live cd,eg mint 7.
    mint linux ,can see any files ,folders on a windows p hardrive.
    IT ignores any passwords setup in windows.

    just download,install it use it.
    no need to buy it.

    SCAN gives a list of all files on the drive.
    or just music files ,as you choose in menu.

    ITS VERY easy to use .


    or do a search by *.mp3 ,
    *.wav
    search *.flac should show all the music files.

    look on drive, windows, docs, username folders,
    eg joe/docs/ music ,
    joe,documents, downloads, itunes etc
