    Hi guys (and girls),

I'm organizing a strength sports conference next June 2014 in the UK @ St. Mary's University College Twickenham and thought some people here might be interested in the project:

    http://www.spss2014.org/

The conference has a strength science track and 4 practical tracks, one for each iron sport: Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Strongman and Bodybuilding.
(Bodybuilding is not a pure strength sport, of course, but it is a very close "cousin" employing a number strength sports' methods and techniques, so that's why we put it in).
Each of these tracks welcomes paper submissions and has its own specialist board. On top of this we'll have a bunch of practical seminars, workshops, keynotes, debate panels, demos and an expo with some of the top brands and bodies in the field.

(Growing) List of VIP speakers at: http://www.spss2014.org/keynotes.html
Natalia Verkhoshansky, daughter of the famous Prof. Verkhoshansky, will be speaking about the crucial yet highly misunderstood General Adaptation Syndrome.
Sergey Ivanov (Russian Powerlifting IPF Team Chief Coach) and Leonid Kotendzhi (Ukrainian Powerlifting IPF Team Coach) will be speaking about Powerlifting training, planning and technique, and holding practical seminars as well. John Broz is coming from the US to talk about his famous approach to Weightlifting; he's also conducting a practical seminar.

In addition to the several VIPs, we have a series of special talks: http://www.spss2014.org/special_presentations.html
Jon Goodwin is speaking on Dynamic Systems Theory as applied to Weightlifting coaching, Lon Kilgore will tell you about pulling the bar, and Dan Cleather will show how (in relation to a current trend on squatting technique) "leopards" actually squat with their toes out.
And several more talks are on the way.

So the question is, for all you strength fans out there: what would you like to see covered in a seminar or keynote talk? Any aspect in particular?
Happy to answer any questions about the project!

    Cheers,

    Maria
