Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am in Christchurch. There's lots of work here but you will only get to work 40 hrs a week, 50 at the most.
I am an NZ qualified electrician, the rate is $28 an hour.
Expect to pay $130-$200 a week to rent a room in a house.
Not much nighlife about Christchurch, very strict with serving alcohol. It's more likely you will not get into a bar and if u do they will make u drink water or leave lol.
Wages are not enough to go travel NZ.

Hi I have been offered a contract with Canstaff as a Hammer Hand. How easy is it to get accommodation and what types are available. Also, I don't drive would this be an issue. I will be coming out alone are there many others who have come out alone, what is the social life like? I only have a 12month contract is there plenty of work out there with other employers as I don't want to go to all the expense just for 12 months work. I have been quoted $1700 for help getting a visa and $778 for essential tools does this seem right?

    Thanks

    Andy
