Now over 5m at the Maltings

    http://77.74.50.157/cfw/

    From the explanation:

The station at the Lee Maltings is located near the Mercy Hospital. The water level values on this station are based on a local datum. If water Levels at this station exceeds 4.9m there is a high probability of some flooding. A reading of above 5.0 m at this station is associated with more significant flooding at the eastern end of Oliver Plunket Street and may spread to other areas as the water rises.

Similar to the thunder shower we had an hour ago I'd say

Lull in the winds here now. Not as strong as yesterday morning. But more sustained

Gone calmish here in Cork City, that was some blot of lighting earlier though, thankfully the flooding in the City was not as bad as feared. Although the Bullman pub in Kinsale looks like it is not faring well.

A station record Max sustained wind of 60km/h recorded also two gusts of 96km/h recorded two hours apart. Pressure currently at 964 approaching another station record. Torrential rain now as i type. The worst storm in these parts in many years i would say. Its just been wild out there.
