Not as strong as yesterday morning. But more sustained

Same here. Rain the biggie here. Bucketing. 17.6mm so far today. 50.0mm for February so far (and it's only Day 4!)

Wind seems to be dying down slightly here in Wexford Town, still some strong gusts but the sustained winds seem less severe than an hour or 2 ago.

Yes, but with a risk of thunder showers through the night and early tomorrow.

Pilots will certainly earn their money tonight with those winds.

Strongest gust report @9pm by Met E was 51knts @ Dublin Airport, winds very strong here now. Cork will b in e eye of the storm in the next few hours which probably explains the lowering in wind speed

They'd earn more if they checked the weather in their destination!

The beach is a different world, some experience that sustained windspeed!

Luckily there was no high tide in Dublin this evening.

A station record Max sustained wind of 60km/h recorded also two gusts of 96km/h recorded two hours apart. Pressure currently at 964 approaching another station record. Torrential rain now as i type. The worst storm in these parts in many years i would say. Its just been wild out there.

    www.waterfordcityweather.com

Id say the Stephens night one was worse Mick.

Any idea when the worst of this will have passed. In Dublin 5 at the moment and no let up in the wind strength for the past few hours.

Not going to be able to sleep tonight if it stays this bad.
