Any more reports from Waterford - pics from Tramore & Waterford Quays looked really bad and that was before high tide?

Rain has stopped - 18.2mm so far - but now the wind is cranking up a notch.

Don't look now, but another dose of heavy rain is on the way on Friday/Saturday.

At least tide levels will be lower by then, but river flooding will surely be a problem if this type of pattern keeps up.

Yes the forecast for Friday/Saturday system not quite resolved yet, going to be raining for sure but still a chance from some severe winds for the south.

Seems really scary to me that power is still on and people can walk around in water. Or am I missing something..

For those interested in the risk of coastal flooding on the east coast later tonight, scroll down the page and click on the water level for each site to bring up a graph.

    .
Quality a fairly bad, taken on a phone. Higher up to hear the wind, was nearly taken off my feet.

Shortly after the video was taken the power went off.

The easterly winds aint leaving the high tide subside in Cork. The morning high tide could be just as bad if this evenings tide cant get out!!

I'm sure they have everything plugged out & stopped watching telly ;) & also will have the lights on a separate fuse to the plugs, so plugs probably turned off at the box
