I never bring my MVP out with me because its just too bulky in my handbag. Egos are no good either, crap battery life and I can't have one for long without breaking it. So something somewhere in between the two would be best. This is not going to be used too often so not too expensive either.

    So in short:
    -Must be small.
    -Must be sturdy.
    -Not too expensive.

Any ideas? Don't need it anytime soon so would be happy to order from fasttech etc.

Something like this would be nice and handy, with a tank on it it can fit in your hand and be nice and discreet. Can definitly fit in your handgab as its only about 3-4 inches long at the most.

This next one is about the same size and would do the same job.

You would then need to buy 18350 battery and a charger for it.
    either here

    or

and the charger like this one:

or the same ones on a different site

If you want very small, you'll be using 18350 batteries and I find my itaste vv3 lasts longer. If you go to 18500 then it isn't exactly small.

That seems like an issue all right, I was hoping to use it in 18350 bu I notice that most batteries are around 800mah. I was expecting a bit more than that tbh. Don't know if that would last me the night and then you have to think about bring spares, that just sounds like to much bother. I haven't found anything to take out with me yet, I just buy analogs and want to stop, there has to be some sort of middle ground between size and battery life!

Check out the 1300mah ego-t at fasttech, plenty of mahs and only 87mm long. They're a little bit wider than a regular ego (3mm wider) but they work well.

Hmm, certainly an idea, are they official joyetechs or knockoffs? If they are not officials is there any worries with them blowing up or something?

They're not official Joyetech but you can buy the Vision Spinner 1300mAh - Vision are seen as an equal to Joyetech.

18500 batteries are the middle-ground for length of life plus size, some 18500s go up to 1600-1700mAh nowadays. That battery life won't mean much unless you rebuild or have a Kick which brings you up to 18650 size

eGos and MVPs are the middle-ground if what you want is a neat little package - what you're asking for in the first post would be like heading back to 1999 and asking for a cheap iPhone...with better battery life.
    Maybe next year?

If you're worried about knockoffs you probably shouldn't be shopping at fasttech :-)
I have 4 of these and they perform just as good as any joyetech or kanger battery I have.

Lol, fair enough point, I suppose I want to get something as close to that as possible and an ego style battery is probably that, though I would have preferred a mod, what I want just doesn't exist, I was going to have to give up on one of the criteria, it seems in this case it will be the sturdiness, but tbf those fasttech egos are so cheap it's not like its really going to bother me if one breaks.

I just don't want the fecking thing to blow up and burn the house down is all :P. Couldn't care less what it is, haven't found Joyetechs to be of the best quality anyway, had two fall apart in quick succession.

Thanks for all the help guys, will pick up a couple of ego styles, seems like the best option for now at least.

What you want is a Hcigar Kylin: http://www.vapegeek.co.uk/Hcigar-Kylin-38.htm
    It's a clone of the Pisces-T.
It only takes 18500 or 18650 batteries, its 64mm in 18500 mode, roughly the same length a nemesis is in 18350 mode.

Here's a pic of it in 18650 mode beside an MVP. http://i.imgur.com/3JZuW9l.jpg

    (I don't have 1... info stolen from reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/comments/1wxu7s/anyone_new_to_mechs_and_want_something_smaller_i/)

Big difference buying a battery from them and buying a mech mod. It's just a metal tube, in essence.

Yeah, but at least the ego batteries have built in protection unlike a pure mech mod, be it from fasttech or anywhere else.

Genuine ego batteries, yes. Stuff from FT...hhmmm.
Besides, it may be a moot point. Unless you pay premium postage in any case as I don't think they let batteries through normal China post.

I'm only speaking from my own experience, I've never had a problem with fasttech egos and I've bought a few including twists. I have had genuine joyetechs fail on me.

I can't prove it but I'm pretty sure the kanger clones come off the same production line as the originals. They are identical in every way besides the markings.

Delivery is free and there is no problem with shipping any type of battery from fasttech. The only problem is the wait.

I've got two 900mah bydtech batteries from fasttech, could not fault them one bit. When I started I bought them and two chargers and keep one of each in me desk at work in case of emergencies, I rotate them so they are used regularly and after six months both still work great.

I stick one in the wife's handbag as back up on a night out as well.
