Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Watching Breakfast At Tiffany's. Audrey Hepburn always looks and acts so elegant and classy. I wish I could be that way, too far clumsy though!:pac:

I love snow, despite the trauma of living in Rathmines in 2010.

    Never forget.

I once went for a post-party frolic through a field at five am once. I got into a staring contest with a cow. This is ill-advised. Cows having nothing else to do and can stare forever.

Got a letter to say that I'm on the list to get a video EEG. May be slightly scared...

So 11 months later this is happening tomorrow. I only got the call earlier tonight! I'm petrified. I could be in for up to two weeks and I'm not allowed have my phone with me so a lot of contact with people is out!

    Knit some manuals?

If it were me, I'd be using it as an excuse.
I cannot possibly study!! I am in HOsPItAL!

I'm not sure tbh. It's all in a controlled room that I can't leave but from looking it up other places seem to allow them.

Went to see the Lion King last night in London and I fell asleep for a few minutes of it, struggled to keep my eyes open. Have a class doing a test in front of me, and I'm really struggling to keep my eyes open. I don't physically or mentally feel tired, but my eyes are just closing! I'm no even yawning - its really weird. Tried walking around the room, tried doing some marking which I have to concentrate on, but my eyes keep going funny! At least only five minutes left, then can hide in my cupboard and snooze!!

Going to my first ever gym class - ladies only boxing tonight :D

I've been snowed into my house all day & I couldn't care less when I have wifi & a nice fire blazing. :D

P.S. this is my first time posting in this thread & it's a wee bit nerve wrecking but also not because you all seem so lovely. :o

Damn, cows scare the crap out of me. Those eyes look into your soul. It's like they know what you have done to them and are silently judging you. They know, THEY KNOW EVERYTHING!:eek:

Welcome to the thread Shazgv! :D

Just viewed a lovely house not far from where I live now. Hoping to move with my current roommates (anxiety of meeting new new people - I've just got to know these ones a bit!) It seems perfect, so fingers crossed we get it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,928 ✭✭✭✭rainbow kirby

    Fingers crossed for ya S&S!

Calm after the storm this morning, went to bed with a gale howling outside but calm and not even particularly cold this morning. Had a lovely run to work, amazing how much calmer I feel after that than a tube commute. Can also get back to my own work this morning after two days of sitting in horrendous meetings, thankfully.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,246 ✭✭✭iwantmydinner

Ugh I've to go home to the parents today.

    Weather is horrendous though.

But I'm kinda sad too and want my own bed and to see my friends.

Went to a ladies only boxing class last night, my arms are in bits this morning. Can hardly write on the board, so been using my ipad for almost everything. Get to sit for two hours with a exam class doing an exam, then ice cream then going with the school to see 39 steps in London - two nights out like this in a week is unheard of for me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,027 ✭✭✭sunshine and showers

    I have contact! :)

I got in to the hospital around 12 yesterday and luckily they've let me use my mum's internet dongle so at least I have something! I'm here covered in wires and attached to the wall 99% of the time. Still haven't had a seizure so I'll prob be in over the weekend. My head's killing me and they're only allowing me 5 hours sleep and we'll just have to see what happens. It's not as petrifying as I thought so far though!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,246 ✭✭✭iwantmydinner

Hope it all works out as well as possible and ye learn loads from it MCR. Hope the boredom doesn't get too bad!

Have any of you ever had braces as an adult? I'm thinking of getting some to fix my snaggle tooth.
