Benteke scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.
Morata was also on the scoresheet for his side.

I won't be making any responses to offers until tomorrow evening. I don't know if I want to change the team too much in case I don't stay on.

I have to consider myself delighted in the relegation battle tonight ...

A vital win to a fellow struggler when all other teams in the bottom8 drew or lost. couldnt have wished for better!

I don't think it's a great start to my test when I completely forgot I had a game until 9 o'clock. The outlook doesn't look too good.

Another game, another unbeaten result, and 2nd & 3rd lost. Finally a week that went my way :)

Barrada again the key man, especially after I had to drop Pirlo for an injury!

Anzhi beat Club América 1 - 0 in their Division 3 fixture.
Barrada scored the winner for Anzhi and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

1-1 draw with Boca sees us slip into 4th, tied with 3rd placed Bordeaux, while Flamengo leap into 2nd, balls to it anyway.
You face off against both teams in your last 2 games too

Willow Murphy steered Estudiantes to victory against Wolfsburg.
Estudiantes beat Wolfsburg 3 - 0 in their Division 3 fixture.
Roux scored all 3 goals for Estudiantes and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Roux bagged a hattrick. I honestly thought I'd never see the day. I'm still in shock!!

Move 8 points behind Athletic in second. Is the race for automatic promotion on again?? More importantly though, we're now 8 points clear of the play-off chasers who, thankfully, are all beating each other!!

    Estudiantes' Remaining Fixtures :

    Sun 18 May | [H] | Hanover
    Thu 22 May | [A] | Udinese Calcio
    Sun 25 May | [H] | Sporting CP

Depending on the next four results for Athletic, Palermo and ourselves, that last fixture could be so crucial!!

13 points clear at the top of division 4 with five games remaining. Potentially crowned champions this week if my nearest rival slips up :O

Gaining the title in my first season would be a great accomplishment, major credit to the previous manager who had assembled a very strong squad.

Hoping that I can wrap things up sooner rather then later so I can start planning for next year.

Cruzeiro must have money to burn with all these high bids on the young free agents. That's another one secured for them!

It's a great tactic tho! Get in the young talent and you have a great bargaining chip for future deals!

I've just made Malanda and de Paul unavailable, so apologies to Cruzeiro and Porto who had bids in on them.

    __

Now next on the list... I want a goalkeeper and I'm prepared to do the right deal to get the right one in...
I await the flood of offers.... :D:D

No as a matter of fact cruzeiro had no money wen I took over so I sold all my over rated mugs that were over 30 and decided to invest in youth. I don't buy into the whole sh1te of the top teams advertising over the hill players on boards (for example, any lower teams want to buy a 90+ player to strengthen their squad ? I have giggs, forlan, tim Sherwood,Dwight yorke and tony yeboabh for sale p.m me) but then again each to there own... Come to think of it id you not just recently buy a 38 year old yepes? Like I said each to their own

I needed an 88 rated cb and he's been pretty consistent and was very cheap. No brainer really! Sure age is only a number anyway ;)

Oh fair enough, the rules must state you must have an 88 rated def do they? You keep spending 5 million on the likes of yepes and kanu and ill spend mine on James Wilson and the futher of Brazilian football.. hope your still playing the game in the future.

Does anyone know how the reserve a club feature works? I was looking at reserving Dortmud in a new German championship that is opening soon and it said you are reserving your club for 15 minutes?!

Surely they can't charge you and hae your reservation expire 15 minutes after the world opened?

Well I was bidding on those players you signed or are about to sign but wasn't prepared to spend so much on a player rated under 80. Its just my policy.

As I mentioned before, I'm new to the game and my squad was awful so I signed any external 88 I could get to bulk up my squad but next season I'll be shipping most of them out again.

Like you say each to their own,

but I bought giggs from united cheap(5m I think), he filled a gap for me for a season and I moved him on for cheap(5.5m I think), meaning a lower division team has 90 in their ranks for a while for very little money ( and when giggs retires they will probably get close to that value back any way).

How is this a problem? the team in question might have an 83-85 rated player in the same position that they are waiting on an increase on, so how is one of the older players for little money not a good option to until the cover matures??

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,917 ✭✭✭✭GT_TDI_150

Modo, people are curious how your club has the revenue it seems to have rather than how you spend it.

you have an average attendance of 29,000 and are able to throw in substanial bids on some of the prospects, and have been able to for a while. There are clubs here with greater avg attendances that havent got the money available that you have.

5.5 million just to fill a hole in your team, Jesus you must have money to burn. As soon as you bought him he decreases if I remember rightly?

All the players I bought for around the 4-6m mark did devalue by about 200-300k when I got them yes but an external will more than likely pay me what I bought them for when i do sell (providing their rating doesn't drop) so all's good with me!

Well lucky you must of had money to burn to buy 88 rated players to bulk your squad, I on the other hand had to sell all my players
