Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I withdrew mine after someone mentioned Standard only had 1 player rated 88,I only have 2 players rated above 88 myself but both happen to be forwards, although Pizarro is rated higher than one of them.

Most the clubs were probably in the same boat as me, no cash.I tried sell players but no bids came in on time. Tried offering p/e but he rejected it.

This happened me the last time, I can't remember who it was raffling or who it was they were raffling, but i had no cash and no time to turn it into cash and so couldn't bid,

I always kept a bit of cash since then because it is a regular enough thing and didn't want to miss out on the next one,

Good decision that turned out to be!

Hey lads, sorry about the delay, I know I said noon but had a busier than expected morning.

I assigned numbers based on the order in which clubs bid on Pizzaro. 7 clubs bid, so the order of numbers was 1 - 7.
I used random.org to do the draw. I took a screen shot of the result which I shall link to below.

And with all that said, our winner is....

    Genoa!

Feel free to make the bid at your earliest convenience and I will accept straight away.

    Draw Result hyperlink.

I'm not having a pop at you just a bit confused as to how this draw works. Let's say you wanted Hanover to win and they are number 7 could you not keep generating till number 7 came up and screenshot it when it shows number 7 as the winner

The offer for Nikica JELAVIĆ of Hull City from Aston Villa has been accepted. The transfer will be completed within the next 24 hours

Strange no one in Div 3/4 took a punt on him. Has done well for Hull and I got him for around 3m plus Nzogbia who's career really has gone downhill rapid.

Sure I could have, but if I wanted to rig it I could have just not bothered with the raffle and sold him to Genoa for face value last week.

I ran the raffle in good faith with the rules clearly explained, random.org was used previously so I used it this time as it was the easiest way for me to do it.

Regular enough, i know there has been 1 a season anyways and it is not like the lads doing it have to do it!

When i couldn't enter for them i didn't pay attention and so wouldn't remember anyways, that is the kind of guy I am.

I did the same with giggs in season 2, there was sahin in season 1 from madrid i think.

If i was able to get enough cover i'd do same with cambiasso too ... But id just as quick keep him as he is good cover for dc and mc

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,952 ✭✭✭JamboMac

Thought bruma had potential with him coming as part exchange but with teams like Chelsea looking at him the deal looks all the better.

I hope fabregas girlfriend was miss quoted so want him at united.

    Real Madrid, with Nuri Sahin
FC Porto, with Giggsy (:)) (I'm going to miss him next season though :()
    SL Benfica, with Claudio Pizarro.

I also have a bizarre feeling that there was one more, but I'm probably wrong.

Ah, that's the one. He went to Anderlecht for 5.8m so either it was a raffle, or there were some brown virtual envelopes being passed around.

Boards Soccer Manager officials found guilty of corrupting Benfica's Pizzaro Raffle could face criminal prosecution, according to sports lawyer Kevin Carpenter.

Both Benfica and Manager Seaneh have fallen under intense pressure following a post on boards.ie that alleged their raffle could have been corrupt, with large bribes made to Benfica officials in exchange for the winning number.

It has also emerged that Benfica did not possess crucial documentation in the form of a remote gambling license which Genoa officials fear could make the raffle null and void.

A grainy photograph has emerged suggesting that there could be grounds to the claims made on boards.ie. In the photo Benfica manager Seaneh can clearly be seen deep in conversation with Genoa manager Ctrl-alt-delete. There were also scenes of confusion when a long delay occurred after Seaneh called out the winning number, a delay which later turned out to be because the Genoa manager was holding his ticket upside down.

We will bring you more on this story as it reaches us.

Mastermind a draw against Brazil only to get knocked out on pens :(

Gunnar De Boer was unable to prevent a Poland defeat to Brazil.
Poland lost 5 - 3 to Brazil on penalties after a 1 - 1 draw in their SMFA World Cup Round 1 fixture.
Perquis was on the scoresheet for his side.

    Amazed I didn't lose the shootout :)

Quarter Finals of the World Cup

    Netherlands - Venezuela Unmanaged
    BRAZIL - United States Unmanaged
    Unmanaged Australia - Turkey Unmanaged
    Unmanaged Slovakia - Uruguay

Willow Murphy was unable to prevent a Argentina defeat to Turkey.
Argentina lost 6 - 5 to Turkey on penalties after a 1 - 1 draw in their SMFA World Cup Round 1 fixture.
Messi was on the scoresheet for his side.

Absolute robbery. Dominated the match but only Messi could find the back of the net in normal time, and even at that, it was only on one occasion.

Oh well, it's better than going out on a whimper anyway!

Irish Goldberg steered Netherlands to victory against Greece.
Netherlands beat Greece 2 - 0 in their SMFA World Cup Round 1 fixture.
Huntelaar scored both of the goals for Netherlands and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

    So....

It's the 10th and no new fixtures (and no reset of the '3 deal' rule)

Possibly the system needs time to compile the seasons fixtures for each club? may take a while......
