    I'd be fully supportive of a squad cap too,

    But to be fair we would have to set it at the current highest squad number so as not to force anyone into selling players, i don't think new rules should have a retrospective power.

    I really don't care either way. It was Mac that said he'd do a poll if something was up for discussion, it doesn't bother me if he does or doesn't, you're right, it's his GW to do with as he pleases :) he's been very accommodating so far as we all know!!

    As for the cap, the Copa del Boards one will be coming in soon, will be interesting to see how it goes. Very hard to regulate

    I have no real opinion on it anymore to be honest

    Lads,

    SM have introduced some measures to deal with largers squads ( e.g. 50% wage for loaned out players)

    It is not something that can be turned on or off so no point voting on it as it wasnt agreed when the GW was set up as it was over in the Copa. It cant be enforced.

    We've voted on things that can be controlled by SM or the owner and this CAN NOT be controlled.

    A poll is the best option as it seems to be fifty fifty decision split.



    But at the end of the day its a trivial internet game so im not too bothered either way. It would make it far more fun and fair though if squads were capped though...

    I've 51, could easily manage with 30/35. If it were to come in it'd be rough aul going on the lads with 100+! Though I'm not sure how many there are!?

    You could always have a charter rule saying anyone breaking the limit would be refused to be dealt with transfer wise, isn't that what Copa had? It would be grand just the Copa world but there's nowhere near as many as active as this one.

    They arent capped in any SM controlled GW ... I dont see why this is such a big issue for people here (not aimed at Tinie btw)

    Yes and if you wanted to introduce it here you needn't actually begin to try and implement it until season 5 or so, that would be practically 2 whole seasons to get in order.

    Haha I know.

    However the joke seems to have indicated it is something a lot of lads would like to vote on.

    Don't think it will happen myself buts it's obvious each camp have a lot of support on this issue tbh.

    Got an external bid of 3 million in for Del Pierro that I'm going to accept if anyone wants to match it. He's still 87 and still a decent squad player! Ill be accepting the bid later unless someone here wants him.

    Speaking of upcoming youth I would be willing to include Stanciu and Dier in a deal with Dzagoev, Yarmolenko or Ben Arfa for a 90+ central midfielder or striker

    Stanciu is the Romania U21 captain and has played in the champions league and he was linked with a move to Spurs in January

    Dier is a young English defender playing for Sporting Lisbon and he has been strongly recommend to Arsenal by Tony Adams as well as being linked to Chelsea and Spurs

    Both of them are 20 and rated 83 and sire to rise

    If anyone is interested send me a pm on sm.
