    Speed vans
    An Garda Síochána has contracted GoSafe to operate a safety camera network on behalf of the Gardaí
    The GoSafe vans are usually white with big stickers.
    AGS also have their own vans with different markings.

    Do they flash?
    The vans have infra-red capabilities and doesn't necessarily have to flash.

    Can they catch you while they are driving?
    No.

    Can they catch you if you are driving in the other direction?
    Yes.

    Speed cameras
    Types
    Grey or yellow, fixed to poles along the roads. Signs will warn before each camera.

    Do they flash?
    Yes.

    Tripods and handhelds
    Ultralyte system that bounces a laser off your car.

    Range
    More than 1000 meter

    Do they flash?
    No.
