    You will get taxed unfortunately and quite a lot. You do get vacation pay though on top of your normal wage so that's something at least! If the company hires you you'll get paid for your breaks and holidays (which you don't when you're a temp) but you probably won't find much of a difference in your weekly wage to be honest. I personally think the wages are really poor over here in comparison to the cost of living. If you're lucky enough to get hired on an annual salary then you'll see a big improvement, but as long as you continue to get paid hourly rate then get used to being broke.
