Any news on Yaya folks? No news could be good news in relation to this one.

Nothing yet, I've been keeping a close eye on it. What's the deadline for making a decision if they're playing on Wednesday? Tomorrow maybe?

I'd be inclined to think there will be news either way.

Don't see anything on twitter anyway. Today FM sports report just said that he should find out today if he will be charged. I'd say they are inundated with requests for updates from concerned fantasy managers!

Stupidly don't have Hazard in my team. Will need to bite the bullet but not sure who to drop. Silva or Mata? I am leaning towards Mata as I already have rooney and junazai.

I'd see if Yaya gets banned first, makes sticking with Silva a no-brainer.

Anothe joke of a decision. City getting away with murder when it comes to these reviews.

Suits me, don't have to worry about replacing him for the 2 league games he'd miss.

    #JusticeForYaya?

Definitely the wrong forum to expect people to care. Beautiful injustice. Did not expect to get away with this. Have a feeling he will go on a rampage now to troll those who don't own him even further

I think I might captain him for the craic.

4 point hit to do Januzaj -> Sterling and Clyne -> Ivanovic? I would end up with 3 Liverpool players and 3 Chelsea ones, too risky?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Fantastic decision for my team. In fairness, I wouldn't exactly call it a kick.

Would you guys play Fonte or Flanagan this weekend? I already have Azpil, Mertesacker, Fonte and thinking of selling Monreal for Flannagan to free up some cash.

So this weekend thinking of a backline of Azpil, Mertesacker, Flannagan. What you think?

Bringing in Terry for a hit on Friday is up there with my worst transfers. Was planning on banking my transfer this week but will bring in another Chelsea defender now instead for Bruce but will wait until the teams are out tomorrow.

This weekend? We have the midweek games to get through first. Definitely get rid of the doubled up Arsenal defence, but why Flanagan? Liverpool haven't been getting a lot of clean sheets and he's not going to get goals or assists.

I'm another unfortunate Bruce owner hoping he starts. Rosenior looks like he won't be playing tomorrow although Koren came on for him on Saturday (maybe that was because Sunderland had 10 men?). Good thing we'll see the team sheet before the gameweek locks.

    Sagna out, Skrtel in.

Arsenal's tough run forced me into this move. I know Liverpool are pretty crap defensively but Skrtel is always capable of scoring. I'd be confident of a CS against Fulham though.

Was gonna bring in Yaya but with Terry injured I have to sort out my defence. Gabbidon & Bruce not playing has killed me!

    Zabaleta Kolorov or Kompany?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

Have Yaya, still think Silva will have a better game against Sunderland. Makes my transfer nice and simple now anyways

Not Kolorov anyway, I have him and I'll be selling in the near future, he just doesn't start enough. Also unlike most defenders who don't start he is very likely to come on for a point which may stop someone else coming in with a clean sheet.

Lads take this with a pinch of salt but Daily Mail have tweeted that Fulham are in talks with FA to postpone the game with Liverpool on Wednesday due to the Tube strikes.

I transferred in Sterling already :o

Have 12.6 to spend on 3 defenders.

Was thinking Dann (4) Collins (4.1) and Figueroa (4.4)

    Any advice ?

I transferred in Sturridge and also have Suarez and Flanagan. This could be a disaster. Fulham can go and do one.

Ah no. I will be on flights for most of tomorrow and have suarez as capt and sturidge as vice.
Suppose the safe thing to do is move the vice to yaya.

It is... I go around thinking I'm a defensive midfielder that gets way more than my fair share of goals and penalties... I've a African father and a Welsh mother.

Went for the below for a -4 hit, really need a good couple of weeks to catch the leader in my main league! :o
    Januzaj -> Sterling
    Johnson -> Hazard
    Rooney -> Dzeko

If Fulham is off, wouldn't the West Ham and Arsenal games be off too? Sounds like Fulham want a delay after exhausting themselves yesterday.

    Should know at 3.00pm tomorrow.
Following a number of enquiries regarding how the potential London Underground strike action may affect Wednesday evening’s fixture against Liverpool, the Club can confirm that it is currently proceeding on the basis that the game will go ahead.

However, the Club has concerns over the potential impact that the strike may have on the ability of its safety staff to attend the ground in sufficient time and numbers to ensure that it is able to open the ground and effectively operate it, from the time that the gates are open to the public until the departure of all supporters.

After consulting with the Local Authority and the Metropolitan Police, it has been decided that if the proposed action is still undetermined at 3pm tomorrow (Tuesday), and the Club cannot guarantee enough staff are available to attend the ground in sufficient time and numbers, then as a consequence the Club would not be able to comply with the terms of its safety certificate and the fixture would be postponed and rescheduled for a future date.

A further statement will be released at 3pm on Tuesday to confirm whether the game will go ahead or be postponed.

Could leave me with only 10 playere. With 3 Liverpool players, Terry injuried, and relutant to mkae changes, also means rethinking who gets the VC armband.

I'll wait to see what happens with the tube strike. I just thought that Liverpool kept a clean sheet against Everton, the goal they gave away to West Brom was a fluke individual mistake not a team mistake and they gave away a penalty against Arsenal. So it looks like their defense is getting alot more organised. They also have a nice fixture list coming up.

With overground services still running and the tube not completely out of service, seems ridiculous that this would be off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,141 ✭✭✭Santi101

Was gonna bring Yaya in again but I wonder about him playing the full game with City's fixtures on the horizon.

He seemed very deep against Norwich and seems to be carrying some niggles lately.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,141 ✭✭✭Santi101

In the end, did Mannone to Adrian. Mannone has been gold lately but seems the time to get off the train with tough fixtures and a cup final coming up.

Leaning in favour of banking my transfer. Could really do with 2 FT's going into next week to prepare for the madness of GW28/29. I was planning on getting rid of Sagna for Azpilicueta, Skrtel or Olssen, but none are guaranteed clean sheets and Arsenal could hold United goalless at Emirates. They'll be looking to tighten up after the Liverpool game. I think using your transfer this week is equivalent to taking a 4 point hit.

So banking it would give me 2 free transfers to use after the FA results are known, and would also give the option of doubling up on Arsenal defence against Sunderland (H) and Stoke (A) in the run up. On top of this, if Liverpool manage to beat Arsenal again in the FA Cup AND Southampton beat Sunderland then I'll have the two defenders for their juicy Swansea (H) tie in GW29. Odds on to keep a clean sheet there!

    vy9p52.jpg

United, City, Sunderland and West Brom all miss GW28, so this leaves me with max 10 players for that GW with the team above. Yet another reason I need to have free transfers on hand! I've done a quick tot up of my teams permutations for GW29 (see bottom of post). Would recommend you all do the same when you have a few minutes to spare. My main worry at the moment is the Chelsea v City game. Really need Mourinho's men to get a result again! Not an easy job at the Etihad, but it would free up Zabaleta and Yaya for the Stoke (H) game in GW27, and Villa (H) in GW29. Massive swing and I'll need to dump both if they win on Saturday. I'm expecting the rest of my team to be decimated, especially the Liverpool, Arsenal and Sunderland players who need two results to go their way to be able to play in GW29. The more you analyse this the crazier it gets, I could easily have 3 or 4 players going into GW29.

TLDR - I'm probably not making a transfer this week...

Rvp, Kolarov , bruce = out
sturridge, Cahill, ivanovic = in for a 4pt hit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 621 ✭✭✭Jeju

Have 2 transfers this GW thinking Nolan but had him when he got sent off the first time and kept him and played him again when he got sent off a second.
Vowed never again but he is looking best value MF and some nice fixtures.
He will come in for Januzaj.

Would Cahill, Lallana and Negredo in for Kolarov, Ozil and Giroud be a good move?
Or would Adebayor be a better bet than Negredo?

Any word on Jonny Evans injury?

I'm hoping to bank this weeks transfer now that Yaya has escaped punishment. An extra free transfer will be very useful once more information is known about GW29 and subsequent DGW(s).

    Team is currently:

    Adrian
    Azpilicueta, Sagna, Evans
    Hazard, Yaya, Lallana, Mata
    Adebayor, Suarez, Sturridge

    Speroni, Olsson(NOR), Gabbidon, Johnson (NOR)
