Remote Desktop

I just set up remote desktop on my pc. I enabled port forwarding @port 3389 and pointed it to the ip of a virtual pc running win7 ultimate.

I then connected to a neighbours wireless to see if I could access my pc externally, and it worked.

Problem is, I have gone back into my router settings and deleted the port forwarding entry I made, and saved all changes. I'm no in a mates house and I can still remore in to my PC from here. Why is this!? Do I have to power cycle the router in order for it to forget the port forwarding entry I made? Thanks
