Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great ball by Holtby, but the lack of any marking whatsoever was woeful.

Still plenty of time for Utd to get to the byline loads of times yet though.

I thought Mata was the better option there but our default movement is to get the bloody cross in first.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,112 ✭✭✭Dacelonid

This is just depressing, we are all over teams and can't score and then they go down our end and score with their first chance.

WTF happened, wemt to grab the dinner and Fulham are 1 up.

Still expect Utd to get 3/4

Fulham's first goal in four games!

Why do they have two midtable dross teams on primetime sun viewing?

Mata is completely pointless when you're obsessed with crossing.

Is love to say that this is unbelievable cut it's not. It's perfectly believable.

Same old horsesh!t. Some of the most technically gifted players available and all we do is put it out wide and horse it into the box.

    Again.

    And again.

    And again.

United are becoming an absolute chore to watch now, the same tripe every game... hoof, cross, clear, ad infinitum

Absolute joke...would love to see a moyes pre match interview with Geoff shreeves during his time at Everton. Every time he does one b4 a united game I feel like he is lying.

    Fulhams gonna need another two.

Crazy stuff from Manu. Young and Rafa getting all of the ball, and Fulham soaking it up like a sponge. Crazy ...

United will probably win 3-1 but its good comedy while it lasts :)

With the attacking options Utd have and their at home against bottom of the league you'd expect them to get a few.

    Not always the case though.

When United have the talent of Mata/Kagawa why the fûck do they keep crossing the ball every attack?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,833 ✭✭✭Vinz Mesrine

I've a serious question and please please don't think I'm trying to troll United fans because I'm not.

When Liverpool were playing like this and in this kind of position(last season included) was it funny for United fans? I'm genuinely not even taking pleasure in this, I just feel bad for the real United fans who are having to put up with it.

Surely there comes a point when the players should revert to how they can play?

Really? It could happen but I'd be in no way expecting it given what we've seen thus far from Utd this season.

Moyes getting out-thought by a former coach. It would be hilarious if you didn't support these sacks of shiít

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,017 ✭✭✭Chagan

On the bright side, we're hitting the byline fairly often.

Neville sounded genuinely embarrassed describing that goal.

Do the backroom staff actually tactically analyse their upcoming opponents or just copy and paste tactics each week.. playing long balls and crosses against the likes of stoke and Fulham's giant centre back is mental stuff

It really is amazing watching this, it's just constantly "get it towards goal". Young could've taken the ball down a few yards from goal, instead he just heads it back across the 6-yard box.

Still fancy United to get a few and go on and win but it's amazing how obvious the issue is.

To be honest, by last season, Liverpool were nearly irrelevant to me.
The way things are going, it's how you'll feel about us in a couple of seasons.

    Cross Cross
    Hoof Hoof
    Cross

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭Fuhrer

Yes, keep crossing the ball in, the Fulham defenders are going to stop being much taller than the United players if you just keep crossing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 467 ✭✭DaveSuarez

ffs Moyes, don't get yourself sacked yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,843 ✭✭✭GSPfan

Ha ha ha, the commentator says United are trying to mix it up. That was because Fletcher crossed it in instead of Rafael.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Tbh it's only 30 minutes in and if I was Moyes I'd be taking one of the forwards and Young off at halftime and bringing on Kagawa and Januzaj

Fcuk the absolutely pointless crossing, Fulham playing with 3 centre backs and we're still crossing it in? Surely someone in Old Trafford can see there's something wrong

even Mata and Rooney are just getting it into the box early no matter what.

    frightening.

Fulham are just sitting about 12 yards out, waiting.

    happily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

The major issue is that they're not even good crosses. All really deep and not one arriving to win the 2nd ball.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 755 ✭✭✭sea_monkey

24 games played and still the same tactics of heavy wing play.

It's sad to say but all I'm hoping for now is a game where we play differently. I don't even care if we win it. Just show me that you can mold your tactics around the strengths of your players not mold your players around your tactics.

If Fulham have ANYTHING about them they'll stick on Parker and Bent in the second half and finish this off :p

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,323 ✭✭✭Max_Charger

There was a passage of play there where I think it was Carrick had 10 yards of space to run infront of him, well inside the Fulham half, but instead went wide. It's infuriating to watch

A couple of seasons? It's how I feel now and I can't see it changing with Moyes in charge. Surely the players on the pitch can see this cross, cross, cross isn't working and will just take it upon themselves to do something about it.
