Chrome slow but other browsers fine?

    Over the last few weeks chrome has got pretty slow for me. When on images.google.com ot sometimes flips me tot he low bandwidth version. Doing a search in the search bar takes a good few seconds. If I switch to IE, it loads straight away.

    What can I do to clean it out and speed it up?

    Chrome databases have problems with whitespacing and get rather large. CCleaner has an option to compress em down, try that.

    Also, check to see if there are any extensions slowing it down.
