Hi I'm looking for a projector and sound system for gaming and movies via ps4

projector would be ceiling mounted about 10ft away from a white wall i'll be using as the screen. The room is only 10ft by 8ft so will a soundbar mounted on the wall below the screen be adequate? Also please could you explain what cables i'll need to connect it all up? budget is about £1000-£1200

Both are fantastic projectors.

For a soundbar to really set the system off you could go for the Yamaha YSP2200 priced at £498.00

The only cable you would require for this set up would HDMI's. Everything would connect to the back of the YSP2200 and the one HMDI to the projector.

Again only HDMI's needed for connecting, however the Subwoofer part of this one is also the Ampand all HDMI's connect through this.

However I'm not sure how long a run would be from your soundbar to the projector? 5m, 10m?

A white wall will work to project the image onto but you can pick up a 92" screen for £119.95 and this will give a much better picture!

I've been looking at both of the projectors you mentioned. Have they any major differences i should be aware of?

I think for what i need the cheaper of the soundbars will suffice. 

From the projector to the soundbar i'm guessing i'd need a 10m cable. might get away with 5m depending on where i can run it. Presumably this wouldn't be a problem? In your opinion is the screen a must as opposed to projecting straight onto the wall?

The picture generated by the Optoma is more detailed and the colours more vibrant. Don't get me wrong the Benq is also a great projector.

This little caption sums up the quality of the HD25E:

A white wall will work but a screen will help with the picture. If it was me i would not have a projector with out a screen. Walls can have marks or holes or imperfections that could show up when the image is projected out to it.
There is paint you can get for this purpose to bring a wall closer to a screen but its not as just using a standard wall.
