Lots of big snow flakes mixed in with the rain now and tonnes of Denis hitting the windows.
    I feel sorry for Dennis

How much of a risk? Just brought my car down my driveway from the top of the road. Don't want to be stuck here again!

Possibly a stupid question, but no harm in asking -

If Dublin gets as bad as people are saying, I presume I should not leave my workplace at my normal finish time? I have a fifteen minute walk along a main road, a fifteen minute bus journey and another 15 min walk along a busy main road to do to get home.

Few weeks ago when the wind was bad, I was blown into the road.

Should I just wait it out in work? Is there an estimate time as to when it'll calm down in Dublin? Want to make sure I get home safely!

Still under-calling it. Connacht at Orange and look at Mace reports for 2 pm!!

I've been a bit of a weather fanatic for years, and have to say the wind in south carlow for the past hour is as bad as I have ever experienced. Must be horrendous for people living on higher, more exposed ground.

BBC NI weather said risk of snow especially in Western/Northern areas more so for higher ground but risk remains for lower areas as the night progresses
