    (Castletroy)
I picked a bad day to start moving house..

About a third of the trees above my old estate are blown down, they went in one go. There are at least two and possibly three chimneys down in the estate I'm moving to, lots of debris (Denis? :) ) all over.
The Circus that's setting up shop in Castletroy has to drop the Big Top to the ground lest it get blown away.
The yew tree in the centre of UL is mostly down.
The roof of the Foundation Building in UL was moving with the wind.
There are glass panes blown out in UL on the 3rd floor just at the top of C-block by the ski-slope.
ULSU building closed for the remainder of the day.
A few tiles down all over..

Seems calm enough here in Limerick, sun shining through broken clouds.

The pictures of general destruction are great, but they would be much more useful if there was an exact location and time taken in the post too.

About 2 hrs, 1pm to 3pm approx where the wind was constant, stronger than I've seen (incl 1997 in Limk), knocking chunks off everything including roofs, brick facades and old brick buidlings. Huge amount of very big trees down.

    Howling winds in Firhouse/Tallaght ATM

Debris (and Denis!) flying all over the place.

Had a really bad gust a few minutes ago and over went the bins.

Really worried about the greenhouse (glass) not in case it breaks but that it might fly off and hurt someone.........:(

Me (empty!) wine bottles are dancing in the side passage as we speak.....

Stay safe all - please God no-one will get hurt.
