Just got a toasted sandwich maker for work. Its amazing how excited I am about this €12 piece of engineering. I'm ready to take sandwiches to a whole new level but lack the inspiration to do so.

I'm stuck with ham & cheese and the special. Any more ideas AH?

Them processed cheese slices melt into a nice goo. Be careful though, they've been known to burn the mouth off you.

White pudding is also another good one. Nice and greasy :)

if you've left over bolognese sauce, lob this into a toastie.
    Tuna, mayo and cheese.
    Brie, ham, cranberry sauce, lettuce.
    Roast Beef and brie.
    Chicken and cheese.
    Chicken tikka.

Cheese Ham and tomato with a squirt of Mayo, also butter the outside of the bread.

Jam is nice too but just way too dangerous, eat it too soon and you're in 3rd degree burn territory.

For a sec, I thought you were suggesting he throws ALL of those listed into one toastie :o

I got one of these a present about 10 years ago. Which at the time was pretty lame but I appreciate it as I get older and it still works and makes the yummiest of yummy things.

Haven't got past the "toasted special" myself mind you. But I make panninis on the george Forman and buffalo mozzarella or Brie, with chicken or ham, and pesto and tomato is the dog's dangly bits.

    I miss bread.

I've been asked by a few people now if I would like lettuce in my toastie. Why oh why would I want heated, slimy lettuce in a toasty?

Can't believe nobody has said it.

Crunchy peanut butter and thinly sliced (or mashed) banana.

    Winner.

    yep, it's this.
It's why you tend to see signs for it in the more 'old man' pubs around the country.
Sometime you get a pint with it too!

Yeah I got one of them before, I was sooooo disappointed, no matter how long I left it on the bread didn't brown in certain parts so it would end up a soggy mess.

Tuna, sweetcorn, small bit of mayo, red cheddar, red onion, green pesto, sun dried tomatoes
Sounds like one from that ponce Rachel Allen, but it’s f*ckin savage

Serve with 3 litres of milk

For special occasions, lightly sprinkle with truffle shavings
