Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Grater plantains are edible, but I do not know their effect on stock nor if there is greater value in grass without plantain in it.

Yea they eat it for sure but doubt its any value, should be grass growing, not plantain

Actually decent nutritional value in narrow leaf plantain especially if grazed when it is young. High in protein and trace elements. The kiwis always try to include it in seed mixes for sheep. Its a great help for fattening lambs, and an excellent natural anthelminthic (it helps to kill stomach worms in sheep and cattle).

I definitely wouldn't bother spraying it unless its smothering out a lot of grass in silage ground. A positive "weed" in any sheep land!
