Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Heard some lads talk about a cow "putting out her bearing" but most people round here would just say her calf bed

The reed is a vaginal prolapse. The reed is a common name down the West here. The bearing is the vulva at the entrance of the vagina. The calf bed is the uterus so if that's out so is the calf.

Just back from a long weekend in Wexford.
    Some land down those parts.

Great time round the beaches and walking hook head.

Even the poor looking ground was better looking than land here in Cavan.

Ya. Hoping not to get the sack. But £5m stg would take the sting out of being let go. £5M would farm for a few years before it ran out :)

Yea I am going to ring AI man today, I know he keeps the double section of the book himself, only problem is that I haven't a clue what month she was AI'ed so he may have a bit of a search. He carries straws from bova/dovea and progressive so I don't think they can help!

Ach you know what I mean, the end of the calf bed or whatever it is!:P

We're with eurogene, they send you out a yearly receipt showing all services & price.
Progressive put the service up on icbf.
    If that helps

I'm still on hols myself. Above in the Glens of Antrim. Powerful weather. Saw all the sights, got out on the mountain bike, and drank & ate plenty.
Some right good land here too between the rocks!

So practice and lube. Or practice with lube?

We were over in Bushmills alright, but not in the distillery. I've been there before.
Passed through it goin to Dunluce castle.
It's a spectacular part of our island.

Fair bit of road up past Cushendall and Cushendun, gorgeous in good weather.

I'd say practice and lube. No need to practice with lube just horse it on. You can't go wrong.

We're staying in Cushendall. The back road out there to Torr head is fairly spectacular. I'd love to get out along the coast in my kayak. It'd be some way of seeing it. But it's looks seriously dangerous waters.

Don't know if you remember, but about a year ago a fellow went out on his bike for a spin along that road. was blown clean over the side, not found for almost a fortnight.

I didn't hear that. I see the Giro d'Italia is coming to the Antrim coast, lots of pink flags and pink bikes around the place now in anticipation.

I'm massively excited about that. I am marshalling at it :D

Oh and a bit of chamois cream'll do better than lube. But if you practice enough the saddle soreness'll all but disappear - yours and hers ;)

Ah now I see the problem. A thorough and lengthy warm up is key. If you get into that habit there'll be no end to the practice you'll be doing ;)

I got an awful fright earlier on and am still not the better from it.
Lads were spreading slurry from the lagoon with the long pipe thingie and I went up to the yard to tell them that the dinner was ready. When I got back to the house I realised that my 6 month old Rottie pup was missing. I went back up to the yard and found her in the lagoon trying to get out. The dopey fecker on the tractor with the pump did not even see her in it.
Luckily I had a pfd in the jeep that I use for fishing as I cannot swim. I put it on before I tried rescuing her. After many frustrating attempts I managed to throw a rope around her head and pull her to safety.
I was amazed that the dopey fecker did not have a pfd in the tractor and I had words with his boss about it afterwards.
The automatic ones only cost about €120 each.
A good lesson learned - extendable ladder and 2 pfd's are now beside the lagoon.
