Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Moyes got what he set up for.

Enjoyable enough game despite the lack of goals though.

Rubbish, yet another lack of balls against a big team.

    ****ing terrible

2 teams terrified to lose in contrast to the city / chelsea game. 2 teams with a mentality which will result in them winning absolutely nothing at the end of the season

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,231 ✭✭✭BNMC

Good performance IMO, just a pity RVP lacked conviction tonight.

Szczesney getting MOTM says it all.

Wanted a draw? Despite being mid-table...

Cause Carrick is a bottler alongside cleverly and half the team.

Cleverley got rid of it as quick as he could which was to the nearest man. God forbid he'd turn and switch the play. That mightn't get as much clapping from his Spanish fans.

That to me was a big insight, never ever would have happened under Fergie. They simply stopped attacking

Better last quarter to the match but what utter crap. I would have been better off cleaning my kitchen rather than watching that muck.

Was thinking the same myself, had the ball near Arsenal's box and somehow ended up back with Rio.:(

Was wondering the exact same thing. He must be either knackered or injured because Rooney would have slipped him in easily had he sprinted past teh Arse defender.

Rooney was pure crap. Needed either Mata or Kagawa through the middle and Rooney out wide. Really was about small margins, what a save from Szczesny. How much better the table would be looking if that went in and De Gea's save didn't rebound to Bent on Sunday :(

there is two ways to get a draw at arsenal - the one everton got this season

or the one david moyes goes for

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭wonderfullife

    Awful game.

All things being equal though a better point for Arsenal than United.

Chelsea slipping up at West Brom, Liverpool being held at Fulham, Man City postponed....

they came out of the hardest match of the three (on paper) in parity with the other 2 (unless there's a late goal at the Cottage).

Whereas United lost all remaining hope of 4th with Spurs hammering Newcastle. It's one thing trying to claw back 1 team who have a 9 point gap and another clawing back 2 teams with 8 & 9 point gaps.

Both teams didn't play like they wanted the win

He had the type of game Moyes loves, keep it simple and don't try anything adventurous.Kinda typical of the whole game,Carrick was pretty poor tbh, simply didn't dictate the play for United at all,he was almost playing as a CB for a lot of the time the way he sat so deep.

He played marginally better than he has done all this season. Made some important tackles. His positions when looking for the ball was horrendous.. so static, close to opposition. The whole back four refused to pass to him on numerous occasions tonight due to his positioning.

Ah here we didnt exactly blind the world with football tonight im well aware but De Gea made more saves then Chez. Says it all about Michael Owen. An utterly clueless dope.

Nope. Arsenal have always been far too narrow in their play and have a striker up front who is not prolific enough and who has dried up. We're badly missing Ramsey and Walcott.

Arsenals lack of pace exposed again.

Walcott really was a tremendous loss.

And again that's the system Moyes set out, he done his job and in fairness he did it well. I said before the match that Aresenal would have more of the ball and they done **** all with it. We had the clear cut chances but we were not clinical enough. Only for a wonder save from Szczesny and we would have won it. I really don't understand what else anybody was expecting considering the performances all season.

I was expecting them to lose to be honest.

At this stage of the season I really don't care about the results too much.. I just want to see United playing some brave and entertaining football. Its not happening with Cleverly in CM and I don't see how it can. Its dire football and when thats happening you have to look to where the heartbeat of your team should be and ask yourself why the ball isn't going through there anymore and why attacks aren't developing from there straight to attack.

Two teams sent out not to lose the game.
    Poor from both managers.
No ambition. White flag shown by both managers.

Terrible game, terrible result for both teams, let the negativity from the weekend carry on for both clubs.
