Do P226 mags fit a P229??

I was wondering if KJW P226 CO2 mags would fit my KJW Sig P229 since there is no CO2 mags for the P229.

I have never tried but I read they do but that the mags stick out the bottom of the p229 because the grip is smaller than the p226. Its the reason i went for a p226. Airsoftguns have p229 mags listed on the website but they never seem to be in stock. I have the newer kjw p226 the E2 version and that wont take the older p226 mags. I don't know if the p229 has been updated to take the newer mags so that's another thing to watch for.
