    Hi,
I have a propshaft issue and the dealership are looking for >2500 to replace it with a genuine landrover part. If I remove it altogether and make it a 2wd permanently, will it be still able to pass the nct?
Any ideas on the above would be most helpful

This on a freelander? If so, half the world has already done it.

Yes, hundreds of Freelander 1s out there with no rear prop, you can even buy a blanking plate for the ird.

Big mistake asking a dealer for a propshaft price! £275 +vat from Ashcroft's for the vcu in the middle of the propshaft.
