Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I use Muc Off dry chain lube. Does the job and has no fling.

For cleaning the chain i use some paraffin with fairy liquid, give it a good shake and soak the chain and give it a scrub with a chain brush.

would dry attract less dirt and therefore need less cleaning?

I absolutely hated Muc Off was horrible stuff as a lube.... and I was cleaning the chain every 3 weeks because of it, and that was with only short commuting.

I now use castrol racing lube. There's a little fling if you don't leave it to dry, but it works really well.

ACF 50 is a brilliant buy. Its a dear buy my god does it work well.....creeps into every nuck and cranny. Its not a lube its a protector for after a good scrub.....as for lube for a chain I would clean mine with Kerosene and let me scott oiler do the rest. Before that I used car oil I had in the house.

I'd clean mine every 4 weeks depending on how much was done on it. Usually that would be only 120 km on surface streets from suburbs to city.

I try to clean and lube mine every 5 weeks, that's about 800 miles. But I do it sooner if it needs it.
