And they wonder why people get disillusioned with the modern game at times. There's no magic wand that can be waved. Rene was trying to get Fulham out of their situation with hard work, organisation and a bit of doggedness. They last two games were a testament to that. The players seemed to be behind if they were anything to go by.

You build from there, wait for signings to get settled, get Mitroglou fit, and you just never know.

What the hell is a sacking now going to achieve?

Sometimes I wonder how some of the rich got rich when you see how ****ing stupid they can be at times.

Mourinho is at it again, I see. I can't remember a person in football I've had more dislike for.

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26188451

Ah hes a tosser, although i always hated ferguson more.

Wenger is far from a specialist in failure, the guy has rebuilt Arsenal 3-4 times to mount serious title challenges in his career despite losing many of his best players.
Yes hes a moany fcuker a times but as a diehard Liverpool fan i have great time for him, brilliant manger and seems a decent guy.
Felt sorry for him when i saw the photo of his fall in Liverpool after we hammered them.
If Liverpool dont win the league [i dont think we will] i hope Arsenal do.
Mourinho always was a nasty piece of work.

Easy for Mourinho to talk about the failures of others when he has unlimited funds at Chelsea to buy the best players in the world.

Unbelievable isn't it? A club that owe everything they have to one man's very large wallet.

My 2 cents on the cup game and whether to play the strongest team possible
**** no if it hurts the league run in

How many epl players excelled at the last world cup? None ,all carring injuries
We have vital games coming up and if resting them for a week helps getting back to the table then sod the cup this year
Get back to a position of strength then gp for every thing

Crazy!!!! They looked better the last two games than any before and they have just signed a number of players. What's the point of giving a manager money to spend and then fire them. Has to be something with Ray Wilkins, he never came out after half time on Wednesday night.

As those who recall Ray from his playing days, he cannot move in any direction other than sideways. He turned the wrong way in the dressing room on Wednesday night and simply hasn't been able to get out since. Tragic.

It's just a smokescreen to cover up that disaster draw with West Brom.

Was Jose always this dislikable before or did we put up with him because he took on ferguson or has he changed.

He is a broken man since his time Spain.

Regardless of what people think about him, he is a fantastic manager.

Mourhino was always dislikable, It started when Rafa took over (rumour is Mourhino wanted the job)

His tactics and behaviour were there from the beginning, Sure Man U fans grew a firm dislike to him after there champions league matches 03/04.?

With us it really kicked in over the liverpool v chelsea matches in the champions league.

But then again who could love Mourinho.? except Porto or Chelsea fans.?

Don't know about most folks views around here,
But i hope rodgers goes full strength with his team selection sunday.

As Arsenal will be fearing this match more than us, as they have to play a certain team in midweek called Bayern.

    Agree completely.

Wenger is the polar opposite of Mourinho in so many ways.

Mourinho's ego will eat itself and I think folk are seeing through him now-pure drool and boredom.
All we need is for the British media to stop sucking up his bull, and some real journos to start calling it for what it is.

    Im not holding my breath.

Mourinho has never won anything without spending the earth and then some, but when he has funds to spend he is excellent at making the siginings he needs. He never pipes up until he feels he is odds on to win something and this season he is primed to deliver.

I used to like the guy but he kissed some serious ass when trying to get into Old Trafford and hasn't been the same since Madrid. Generally just an asshole these days who talks too much which is a pity cos he used to be deadly. Him and John Terry should both be shot with the same bullett.

If people werent so obsessed with Mourinho and what he says he probably wouldnt bother. People seem to want to hear every word he says and then get angry about it. He loves all the attention

We did not get ANY managers sacked, it was their teams poor performances up to and including against us that got them fired

    Midday KO

LFCU18s team to face Sunderland: Fulton, Brewitt, Hart, Cleary, Roberts, Phillips, Wilson, O’Hanlon, Kent, Trickett-Smith, Ojo.

LFCU18s subs v Sunderland: Firth, Randall, Maguire, Marsh, Chirivella.

No Sinclair, is he with the U21s? Their game against Chelsea got cancelled due to the weather.

There has been a bit of a debate on here over the last week or so about some fans not caring if Liverpool get beaten in the FA Cup on Sunday. I know that I said something like that after our win v Arsenal, that I thought the league was more important. Well, I do still think that it is.

However, I have had time to think about it and as I wake up today on Saturday of an FA Cup weekend I can feel the adrenalin, expectation and hope rise, the same way it does for every match Liverpool prepare to play in. I'll still be scrabbling to find a decent stream to watch it on tomorrow, I'll have my Liverpool jersey on (I have my Tipp jersey on today! :)), and I'll be cheering on my team to kick Arsenal butt and progress to the next round.

And if Liverpool get beat tomorrow, yes I will be sad but I will try not to let it get me down too much because I know we are very close to the top of the league, we are headed in the right direction, and this season so far has surpassed my expectations. No matter which position we finish in, I will be a very happy Liverpool FC fan because the club has given me new hope. I will never forget this season and I will always support Liverpool Football Club.
