Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Damn it! Why are we giving Jonjo so much Space?

Always wondered whether we will regret moving Shelvey on. Not saying we should just because of that goal but he does have something about him. Incredible finish though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,901 ✭✭✭Raif Severance

We should replace Coutinho with Allen in the 2nd Half.

Cou's been Asleep and we're too Open in the Middle.

    Twas thinking the same myself.

Agree with that, Coutinho and Gerrard are not exactly a good mix under pressure. A bit like Gerrard and Shelvey a couple of seasons ago. Lucas should be back in two games/weeks, whichever comes first.

I actually think Cou has been ok in attacking terms. But along with the rest of the midfield, we're too casual in getting back to defend.

Cou has been Good in Defending, in the past couple of Games. Just not this Game though.

He kinda seems Lackadaisical right now. Like he's running, on an Empty Tank. Unlike before, where he was Pure Energy.

Skertel and Agger must be two of the worst defenders in the league.

    We are incredibly ****.

To score 3 goals at home against the likes of Swansea and not be comfortably ahead is utterly atrocious.

We are doing it the hard way

Can't take much more of these games.

Our defense needs to learn composure.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Well that was fun in I'd like a heart attack fun kinda way.

An ugly win but ill take it :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,901 ✭✭✭Raif Severance

Allen has been Good, when he came on.

Brendan should have subbed Cou, instead of Sterling. Without Sterling, we lose our Pacy Outlet out Front.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Seriously enough just ENOUGH of this stuff!

Lucas might be back for the next game which is against Soton who will MURDER us on the counter if we see this shambles again. Thankfully if Liverpool survive that there is a two week break after which hopefully Suarez will be recharged - he is clearly running on fumes by the end of games.

We got away with that. Joe Allen played 30 mins and was head and shoulders our best player today.

Really needed 3 points there with a very tricky away game at Southampton to come. You'd have to be a bit worried about that one.

    Allen was superb

Delighted with the win, but I fear if our defenders don't remember how to defend pretty sharpish, we'll not be getting top 4. It's beyond a joke at this stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,524 ✭✭✭joe123

Made hard work of that. Southampton away next. Can see us losing it to be honest.

Victor Moses - not a **** he does give.

Jordan Henderson is gonna be a very successful and loved Liverpool player for years to come if he continues on his current course.

Stood up today to be counted and delivered.

    That was tough.

    Still 3 points. Happy days.

Need to sort out the defense :o

Phew:pac: Great cameo by Allen today. Thought Flanagan was our best defender by along way. Good 3 points

Would be lovely if Norwich could do us a favour today

get in happy to get the 3pts.. Midfield and defense not great today....Suarez looking really tired...need to cut out the mistakes at the back big time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,516 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

Hmmmm, unravelling a bit and getting very lucky two games in a row.

Should still do it (T4) but wouldn't be surprised if we have a 0-6 result somewhere along the way when the forwards run bad and the defence does their normal.

Ridiculous Sturridge wasn't left on to get his hat trick. **** Moses at this stage. Been a useless loanee

I'd say the game after that going by what Rodgers was saying.

Lot of pressure on spurs now to keep in touch. It's a 7 point lead really.

I keep repeating this but at least one new top class FB badly needed, two if truth be told.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,740 ✭✭✭✭MD1990

3 weeks until Utd so hopefully have Sakho back for that
surely we won't defend as bad as that again though

BR said on Friday he is a week away from full training.

On the game itself, there have been many games down through the years when Liverpool have been brilliant, not won and even lost. Victories like this when we don't play well makes it all the sweeter, United have been winning ugly and winning titles for years and its games like this and Fulham which will get us where we want to go

    Come on you Redmen!

Never before has a players stock gone up so much without playing but cissokho is more important to us after that game than before it

Get Henderson and Allen together on the pitch for the remaining games along with Sakho in defence, and we might stop ****ting ourselves every time we lose the ball.

  • Site Banned Posts: 4,925 ✭✭✭Agueroooo

If the law of averages are anything to go by then we are bust out of my luck from here on in as we aint getting away with that defensive crap again.

Allen was very effective which was good to see. We need Sakho back. Skrtel had an off day, but should be given another chance I feel.

Was he very lucky to stay on the field or was the penalty call harsh on him? If you give a pen there I think it has to be a second yellow

Il have nightmares about what southampton could do to that defence

Why? Did you think Johnson was poor? I thought he was ok, and would prefer him to Cissohko in general

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,379 ✭✭✭hefferboi

Allen was playing how the rest of the team play against the big boys. Closing quickly, nipping in that second early, not giving up on anything and playing the simple balls. Why we can't seem to do it for every game is beyond me.

He should have been pulled when he wouldn't pass to Suarez a few minutes before he came off.

Brendan was right to sub Sturridge. He was getting Greedy again, and not making the Right Decision.

Sturridge gets his Blinkers on, when he has a Chance for a Hat-trick.
