Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

O'Hanlon doesn't really seem to have developed like you might have expected. He was the one a whole host of clubs were close to signing including Real Madrid but Dalglish visited his family personally to make sure he signed for us. He has always been disappointing when I've watched him.

Wilson and Tricky-Smith are two to watch over the next year or so, they will certainly be playing U21 league next season and I'd not be shocked if they snuck into the senior squad for say a few League Cup cameos.

    Wilson again that's 4-0

Anyone know if the Southampton game is on the radio later? Heading to a match in Laois later, 2 hour drive, and gonna be in the car at the time of the Liverpool game.

Wilson's way too good for the 18s. He''ll be with the 21s next year. Leno to Newcastle who are down to 10.

    Doh! :o

Silly tackle against a player going nowhere - peno for Newcastle.

    4-1

Whats the chances of Stoke beating Arsenal today?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Big game again today (seem to say that every week now). I think a lot of people are expecting us to drop points today. A win would be huge.

It's a superstition thing. Even though its fundamentally bonkers people believe that posting 'I reckon X will do Liverpool a favour by winning/drawing' is jinxing it. Even further that posting the opposite 'I reckon all the results will go against us' might have some reservse effect and lead to positive results.

Obviously this is absolutely mental behaviour and what we say here can have no influence.
However I'd like to point out that I reckon both Chelsea and Arsenal will get 1-0 wins.

Talksport will have commentary IF you can stomach Collymore.

Ah now Collymore is great to listen too. But have to know before hand he is a complete troll.

The whole station should be called TrollSport really.

That's digital radio though isn't it? Nothing on FM or AM?

The best you might manage is Talk****e on 1080 AM but its pretty poor unless you are on the east coast with a following wind.

All this jinxing stuff is ridiculous. Were well within our right to discuss our rivals matches and if someone feels arsenal could drop points or chelsea are gonna win or were gonna hammer whoever were playing they should be able to post it outwithout geting given out to. It has no bearing on any outcome in any football match that will ever take place so grow up and stop complaining about it

Big 'pool fan but a point here would be a result. They've a shocking record against the saints. That plus a flakey defence makes me think it'll be 2-2.

Interesting change for Sterling, maybe a bit more security in the middle?

What...not even Pardew getting sent off for head butting a Hull player??? :D

Was either going to be him or Coutinho left out for Allen. Tough on Sterling but I'm sure he'll get on in the 2nd half.

Not like him to have the odd confrontation, he's generally such a nice guy.

A tad harsh to drop sterling for allen, would have thought it would be coutinho but I guess it means rodgers is really looking to control the game today. Teixiera on the bench again :)

  • Site Banned Posts: 4,925 ✭✭✭Agueroooo

We are going to need the version of Coutinho that played against Arsenal.

If the other one shows up I can't see us getting a result.

cup final #2 of 12 on the horizon.

Arsenal bottling it against Stoke adds even more to this. Hopefully we capitalise.

    Expect a messy match thread.
