Lamb purchasing

Calling all sheep farmers.

My business has a requirement for 300 lambs for a Muslim festival in October.

Details:
Lambs must be at least 6 months old. (Will be being born soon)
Tail left on all lambs
Testicles left on male lambs
Animal must be free from physical defect.
Each customer of mine will be allocated a lamd according to tag no.

Will pay €100 a lamb (Between 17Kg & 23Kg) final payment in October
Will give a goodwill deposit and assist farmer in all matters
Contracts we basically reflect the above.

Are you sure you've never heard of them. You seem to be in the export trade and they were big players in this country.
I'm not saying your associated but given they collapsed a few months back you should at least be aware of them.

These lambs would not be for export. They are for the Muslim community in Dublin.

OK...I remain to be 100% convinced:rolleyes:
none-the-less will these need to be meal-fed lambs....also surly a small bit extra would be required/payment 100% sure, as if ram lambs weren't collected/taken there would ne no real other market for them if this is to fall through IMO

Fair enough we farming folk can be overly suspicious at times.

I only require 300 for a few select Muslims in Dublin.
Google the Muslim Festival of Eid and you will see the requirements laid down Muslim law.
I am trying to satisfy a very select market and it is not a huge business.
Payment terms can be discussed along with other requirements.
There will be no issue with payment
An escrow account can be set up to alieviate payment concerns.
A little more convinced?

I am reasonable aware of this...sheep farmers are one of the few that should gain from rising affluence in the muslim world

anyway...best of luck...I wouldn't have the numbers/ most of mine would be drafted by late july/early augest...you could try posting advertisement in some of the larger sheep marts.(though they may not allow this on further taught:cool:)

Some more questions

Where are you based? Do the lambs need to be delivered to somewhere in Dublin, or some alternative location?
You mention you want them for Oct, but when do you need them by?

Hi. I'm based in Dublin.
I am arranging halal slaughter with a couple of locations in the Dublin area.
The lambs would need to be delivered. That obviously not in above price and can be discussed or arranged seperately
Yes need for early October.
But need the deal done ideally before 6 months before birth which is next few weeks.
