    Hi guys

I received my 55VT65 yesterday from you.

I am noticing two pixel lines, one at either side, running vertically down the edges of the screen. One is green, and the other is purple/blue-ish.

Its especially noticable when playing blu rays.

Please advise me of my options.

    Regards
    Sam

    sam,

are these the same lines you reported previously on another TV? if so it may be the source??

If there is an image on your Panasonic then I'd recommend that you pop the Pixel orbiter on - as I'm sure you are aware the VT65 is a fairly specialist piece of lit and to get the best out of it you have to 'run it in' - you wont get the best results out of the unit for some days and it really is beneficial if you follow the normal recommended run in period which if you want to get the very best out of your VT65 means esentially that you keep everything turned down for about the first 200 hours.

If you feel there is a technical rather than a set-up issue with your TV please retail the original box and packaging so we can have it collected - however this is not an issue we have seen with any other VT65 so I'd be pretty confident that it's not a fault.

As ever you can call the guys in-store or PM and email us, or of course continue the conversation on the public thread - unfortunately I'm out of the office most of today and Dave & Chris are off at the moment so our responses online may be a little slower than normal.

    Thanks again,

    Hi John

Can you check a store model to see if you can see green and blue pixel lines on the very edge of the screen, going down the sides?

    Hi Sam.

I do not have a 55" on display unfortunately.

I do have the 50" version which has a green and blue hugh at the very edges of the screen but these are very very light and you need to be right up at the screen to notice these. They are so faint that they can not be seen from a normal watching distance.
I think this is the colour make up of the screen

This is while playing a Blu ray on it.

Have you tried watching TV or another source through the screen?

I have also checked every other Panasonic screen and they all have these small lines down the side of the screen but this does not affect the picture or watching the TV's. The lines can only be noticed when right up at the screen.

I also checked some other manufacturers and they also have small amounts of these colours showing at the very edges. I would need to do a bit of reading up but I don't think this is a fault with the screens.

    Hi John.

    Thanks for checking.

Yep that green and blue line/hue at either side is what I was talking about.

Its reassuring that all the Pannys have it. Its obviously not a fault then. However I would appreciate if you could read up anyway and see if its normal, just for my own satisfaction. Thanks.
