    Hi,

I am trying to forward port 69 on my eircom F1000 router but am not sure if I am doing it correctly. Is there anyone that can give me step by step instructions on how to do it. I checked with an on line port checker but it says the port is closed, are these usually reliable.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know if you got sorted but it's not where you expect. You'll find it
under NAT. Once you've found the right place it's simple.

NAT is one area to work in, then you also need to lower the firewall level to low, otherwise it still won't work even though the port is routed through OK.

Also best to restart the router after you've made the changes, just to make sure that they are in place and recognised

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

    Hi,

Did you ever get this to work? I am trying to Port Forward a range of Ports 6000-6015 with the Firewall disabled and I getting no joy with it

    1) I have the following;
    # Status - On
    Service Name - XServer
    WAN Interface - VDSL
    WAN IP -
    Server IP Address 192.168.1.1
    Trigger Start Port 6000
    End Port 6015
    Translation Start Port 6000
    Translation End Port 6015
    Protocol TCP

Any other ideas? What WAN Interface are folks using?

    Look under Network Settings, NAT.
From here, you can set up Port Forwarding. It's fairly straightforward once
you figure out where to look.

Yes I used these settings under NAT

    Is "WAN Interface - VDSL"correct?

Yes, VDSL is the one to select.

Okay I have turned off the firewall with these settings , turned off Avast and am trying to remotely login into a server SSH port 22 - which is okay but running the X-Server application requires port 6010 to be open ? Seem the port is not open with Eircom . If I switch to my iphone AP(Access Point) it works !

    Dunno at this point
