just wondering if anyone knows how long you have to spend back in Ireland before you can apply to re-enter Australia after coming back from living there for just under 5 years and how long the process takes.... Cheers.

What type of visa were you on and what visa do you want to go back on?

Anywhere between 1 day and 3 years depending on why you left Australia and what visa you are applying for? Your question is very vague to be honest.

Based on the info you've given, there's no time limit. You could apply the day you get home if you wanted. You can apply before you leave also.

However, if you were illegally overstayed by the time you left. That's a different story. Exclusion periods vary afaik.
