Favourite TV theme tune

I've been watching True Detectives, brilliant theme tune, which made me think it actually has an impact on how good the show is sometimes; my favourite of all time is The Adventurers, a pretty short lived British Espionage show from the 70s, written by John Barry of James Bond theme tune fame. I'm not sure how I know it really, something to do with my dad, always used to play (try) it on the guitar - check it out and share your favourites

Yes. Me and my brother were so happy watching that in the 80s, with the explosive background montage. Also Littlest Hobo isn't my favourite song but it deserves a mention.

Yeah, I was really emotional watching the last series as it aired every week so I'd watch the whole intro to stretch it out a bit! Funny thing is the Alabama 3 are from Brixton, nowhere near the deep south :pac:

I quite like the theme tune and title sequence to True Blood, even if the series itself has gone from the ridiculous to the sublime and back to the ridiculous again.

The Buffy theme song, the Angel theme song and Stargate SG1 and Atlantis. Love them. I loved the original Alias opening sequence, but then they changed it from S2 on. Hated the new one.

Also the Stat Trek intros are brilliant. I love the Voyager theme the most.

I could pick loads more. Can't think of one from a more recent series that I like.

Who could forget that. I'd post a Rawhide link if I could be bothered, they definitely showed that on Sat/Sun mornings when I were a ween (obviously re runs I'm not ancient).
