Ankle tattoo - advice

Hi guys just a quick question I'm getting my first ever tattoo done tomorrow (very excited) - its going to be on the inside of my ankle. So I was wondering what would be best to wear on my feet as its not exactly flip flop weather ... Also will I be fit to wear shoes and socks to work next week? Thanks
