Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Pass?

I passed yes but we're being spilt into bands again by the looks of it. Anybody that placed up to and including 500 are being called forward now but those further on are being called at a later stage. Just about missed out on the first grouping! Gutted in a way but I'm still on track to get to stage 3.

1-500: qualify for stage 3 straight away.
    501-1294: will be called shortly
Anybody outside these bands are eliminated from the campaign

Anybody have any idea how many people were in this stage altogether?

7000 were called?? And they only took 1294, Didn't think they'd cull that many like that!

Definitely be called up as far as I know, they'll use that band until it's exhausted and then call new people up to stage 2 afterwards. It's not over yet!

I didn't realise you could appeal stage 2? I doubt they'd do anything for you unfortunately because it's the result the computer came up with, I thought that you could only appeal stage 3 because it has to come within an expected score in relation to your stage 2 results so its possible to appeal incase it didn't come within that range but you have an excuse/reason to explain why or to prove you didn't cheat etc but I'm open to correction on all this

Yeah commiserations guys! According to Francis Fitzgerald were on rolling recruitment, whether that's a fresh campaign or going to use all from this one I'm not sure

Passed but just outside 500. What does that mean the number they've gave us? does that literally mean our position in terms of numbers the number it states "you placed" it just says they envisage we will be contacted shortly about progressing to stage 3? Congrats to everyone who has passed and sorry to hear those who haven't.

Yeah it's where you placed in terms of the 1294 that passed the tests. And they will contact you after the first 500 are finished the next stage for you to be brought forward to stage 3. You aren't out yet anyway

Thanks for the reply newo how many did the test? does anyone know? Or were at least invited? so out of 1294, 500 odd will eventually get the offer? obviously the remaining stages are left but is that how many are left in it for 500 odd places?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 senor2013

I didn't make it. :( I am devastated. I don't think i'd be taking it as bad only I fully expected I did great in the Inductive test and would be sweating on the Verbal reasoning. Turns out I got 792 / 800 in the verbal (which means I mustn't of got any wrong) and 338 / 800 in the Inductive. I can't figure out how I did so bad in the inductive. I feel like appealing to see. I surely couldn't of got over 12 of the 24 questions wrong. I remember I even had about 2 minutes to spare. Does anybody know how the marking/scoring works?

Dublingirl88 said 7000 sat the test. 1294 passed with the first 500 of the 1294 being brought to stage 3 now and the remainder are waiting to be called to stage 3 eventually. The 500 going through now will be culled again in stage 3/4/5 so out of that group possibly 100 will get to templemore roughly I'm guessing

Damn, so effectively then out of the 1294, 500 will make it? That's kinda achievable if you get me, not to get ahead of anything, but just them odds are not as bad as I thought? When you consider the numbers that have been involved.

Does anyone know if there are training courses for the:

    Job Simulation Exercise
    Report Writing Exercise

I know we did the "Job Simulation Exercise" before. But not the "Report Writing Exercise". Any courses out there for them?

7000 were invited to do the apptitude but i recon half at most did it or else alot of people failed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,072 ✭✭✭thekopend

Now that i think of it i was aswell off if i didnt do as good because my average for 2 tests was 95%+ its goin to be hard enough repeat that. If i wasnt having a great day and only got 80 or something they could fail me?

  • Registered Users Posts: 380 ✭✭2wsxcde3

Don't worry about that. They know someone who got very high might not necessarily do so again and might just do "good" the next time. Their system will allow for it. Just do you best and you'll be grand.

Yea 7,000 got invited to do the test, but not all would have done it as it has been more then 18 months since stage 1 and people's circumstances change.

The panel pas create after stage 4 the interviews has only reached 900's from band 1, less than a 5th of the original 5000.

So those from 500-1294 will be called, and those who didn't pass don't worry as I would guess another campaign will be announced within the next 6 months due to the low numbers achieved in this stage 2.

Got in the mid 300's. The fact it's so soon is a bitch, as I'm working out or Ireland currently (Hacking away in the Scottish Highlands). But thankfully, my boss is letting me leave before contract ends in October. A long hard road ahead methinks. Wondering what exactly Stage 3 will have in store.

Well done to all who've passed, I'll see ye in Dublin, and to those who did't, keep trying!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 210 ✭✭Wannabegarda

Im assuming they wont be taking us all on the same day will they?

  • Registered Users Posts: 42 AVPU

Nah, it says 'Over several days'. So I gotta get home, tax the car, and drive up from Caaaark.

The room fits 40-50 give or take and they'll get two groups per day done so I reckon that they will be running stage 3 over a week

  • Registered Users Posts: 210 ✭✭Wannabegarda

Will we be told a day do you think we can scedule it. Im working the first day but im off the second day

They assign you a day and time, not sure how flexible they are but I imagine that they'll try their best to accommodate requests

Email says to ring a number and book your place in the testing window first come first serve. Probably better than assigning places as most would end up trying to change which is probably what happened with band 1 so thats 1 lesson they learned.

  • Registered Users Posts: 210 ✭✭Wannabegarda

i shall be ringing them on 8 o clock on the dot.

Yea I imagine that they'll be doing things slightly different from now on specially as there is going to be continued recruitment they'll keep getting people lined up so there's no rush to get people tested etc to make up numbers for intakes

I'll be on the phone in the morning, no harm in asking, just missed out on the Inductive which I found during practice and the exam handy enough, doesn't add up but maybe I just made a b***s of it, didn't think I wouldn't pass for a second, flew the verbal which I was most worried about

  • Registered Users Posts: 210 ✭✭Wannabegarda

Lads to be honest id say theres no wiggle room. failing by one or two maybe but by any more than that id say thats it until next year unfortunatly..

Your probably right, just the situation right now, when one has waited for this day for the last how long, I have to say I'm gutted, but anyways there will be again, well done to all that got thru btw
