    Public Alert: Boil Water Notice
Irish Water and Cork County Council

    Date: 13/02/2014

It has come to the attention of Irish Water and Cork County Council that the
public water supply served by the list of attached schemes may be
contaminated. On the advice of the Health Service Executive and as a
precautionary measure pending further investigation, a boil water notice is
being issued. Accordingly, in the interest of public health, it is recommended
that all users on the attached list of water scheme boil water before use.

Firstly that link and all links to the councils website simply do not open even though all other links open. The council should seriously consider updating their website.
Secondly there is no water to boil on the old Blarney road between the city and Kerry Pike village. If there is a boil notice in place why is the water turned off? Surely it could be turned back on to allow us to shower, do laundry, and flush the loo?
In another few months there are plans to start charging for water? Well best of luck with that because at the rate things are going there still wont be any bloody water to charge for. This is the 3rd time we've been without water since Christmas and we are now facing into out 3rd day without water. This is an absolute disgrace! Its like a 2nd world country ffs

Link works fine for me. It's to a PDF file, do you have Adobe Reader installed? It's hardly the council's fault that the OP linked directly to a file format you're unable to open.

Couldn't access council website at all last night so think that's why they couldn't access boil notice pdf. Website fine today though. I checked the Facebook page then and no mention of boil notice or nothing to do with weather for the past week. Their use of social media is half assed
