Haha, I'd say it's the green tinted glasses,

I post and view a fair bit on both UK and American sites and the general consensus on all of them is that Pickett vs Seery was the learning Fight of the Night rather than Gustafsson vs Manuwa.

Since when was a fight of the night about properly applied techniques? If that were the case wouldn't someone who successfully grinds a fighter down against the cage get FOTN? Even if it weren't FOTN I can't see how Gus v Manawa was.

With the fight pass being introduced i can see a lot more bonuses going to fighters that the UFC may want to promote a bit more and not the actual FOTN, cause lets be honest Seery & Pickett was the FOTN, back & forth action with no one taking a step back!

If i seen that a fight got the FOTN bonus i would watch that first.

Yeah, I kinda took it that way too.

No PPV money, no mainstream exposure through fox...give the kid some cash to keep him happy.

Haha, I'd say it's the green tinted glasses, sloppy stand up and poor takedown defence/ineffective grappling does not a fight of the night make! What the hell would he get a bonus for? Was not a bad fight and seery gave a good account of himself for his ufc debut but if this guy was not irish that fight/he would not get a mention in here!

So by your reckoning one of the bests fights of all time (Griffin v Bonnar I) isn't worth shit??

Some of the best fights i've ever seen have just been 2 guys trying to take each others heads off for 15mins, hardly anything technical about it. Sometimes it just happens

Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher UFC 100 sticks out for me.I was not expecting much from that fight but was a war.Like of Hendo Shogun great fights but we all knew they would be great fight

Leben / Akiyama was much better. People gave out being the co-main event. Leben came in on short notice and replaced Wanderlai. So, no one expected it to be decent given Leben had little time to prepare for Akiyama. Leben was just off a fight two weeks earlier.

What happened, one of the best fights I have ever seen. An absolute war not just on the feet but on the ground aswell. Unreal stuff.
