Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sorry LInks I know a little what you feel all I had of my grandmother's was a luncheon plate It had little autumn leaves on it and always made me feel special whem I had a sandwich off it when I was a kid. It got broke in a move (at least there was no one to attribute the break to.) but it made me feel terrible (yeah over a plate for goodness sake
) I kept all the pieces. It sometimes hard to give up the past. 0 -

Been studying more kanji now that my brain seems to be working again. Japanese can be quite a poetic language, like 里心 for example. The character on the left means hometown, and the character on the right means heart ( 心 see? it even looks like a little heart). This is the word for homesick
毛虫 is the word for caterpillar, 毛 means hair or fur, and 虫 means insect. Furry insect!

Yeah, remakes are generally awful. What's especially maddening is when they do American remakes of foreign movies that haven't even been out that long. I bet you anything they're gonna take the Ken Watanabe movie Unforgiven and probably remake that as a western or something. Sacrilege! :eek:

I "fondly" remember how shíte The Grudge was when it was remade for the US. The Ring too for that matter.
I was joking, because Unforgiven was a remake, but you know what? It's kinda awful just how often America messes up foreign movies. Didn't even watch the Grudge, but boy did I hate The Ring.
The original was such a good movie, way, way better0 -
