Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Lol at Azp trying from 25/30 yarda.

Why bring on Negredo with the game over and Barca on the way?

Fair enough. It looked very tight to me. Not going to get into any argument about it though.

Chelsea are a different beast when Hazard is off form.

City have played this game better then the league, theyve been mpre compact and havent allowed the fbs to bomb on. Toure and garcia have bossed the cm tonight.

Mourinho only has a small squad and knows he can't compete in all competitions.

We started very negatively but I think City were just really up for it. We never got the pressing game going at all City finding room everywhere. Sometimes you are just not allowed to play kudos City

Chelsea can't be expected to compete with a rich outfit like city.

Yes...but he says he only lost due to an offside goal.

I'd have given MOTM to Garcia. He gets a lot of stick of some City fans, but he didn't put a foot wrong tonight, protecting the back 4.

His best game for City tonight from what I've seen. Never really rated him before.

At least we'll be the only team to take 6pts of City this year, thats one positive.

Id take that over a QF of the fa cup.

    Pellegrini just oozes class.

I've seen some abject, lifeless performances from top teams, but that's right up there from Chelsea. City didn't need to get out of second gear. Dreadful viewing.

Pathetic stuff from Chelsea. Pre show is over...now for the main attraction...his interview.

Playing against a midfield with Mikel in it takes away from it :pac:

Christ, for a team assembled at a vast cost Chelsea are just desperately functional, and tonight that was not enough.

100% City didnt even have to be that good to win.

City are favourites now for the fa cup before the draw 2mw.

Chelsea never showed up but City were brilliant today. Well-deserved win.

Apart from us not turning up and City being great the biggest swing has got to be us carrying Mikel for 90 mins and City replacing Demichelis with Garcia. Garcia and Toure dominated our attacking players in exactly the same way we did the other week.

It is isn't it? If you stuck the typical Stoke or Hull starting 11 in a blue strip the resulting playing style and approach would look no different.

Just had a quick check there, we're still top of the league. nothing to panic about. :pac:

Agreed. I'd have gladly taken one win and one defeat from these last two games, just not the way they turned out. Still; a decent performance tonight from the lads. We seemed more up for it than Chelsea. Good to see Sami getting back into action after his injury. Still sh1tting myself whenever Hazard got the ball; that lad is class and has the potential to destroy the opposition, as he did to us a couple of weeks ago.

Chelsea had two shots all match. Great, disiplined performance.
