    Heading down soon for a weekend
    Any suggestions on where to watch the ire v eng rugby game for the afternoon
    Restaurants for casual evening food
    Any decent other places in the evening

    The match will be on in nearly every pub in town,food The snug,the waterfront,(pubs) O`conners restaurant,there are take always, pizza place ect.If you are staying in the maratime hotel the quays bar for the match should have some life in it.

    Based on just two weekends away in Bantry one of my favourite pubs (anywhere) is Ma Murphys in Bantry well worth checking out. Room at the back with live music, beer garde, lots of snugs etc.
    For food if you like pizza the brick oven (same as one by cathedral in city) is fantastic or for decent burgers etc tractors was good too.
