Can't see a post about this new hardware, which is surprising, but if I've missed it apologies.

I haven't been this excited about a piece of kit since... well since the TR808 :-)

I'm definitely gonna get a couple of these. Definitely the TR-8 because I have always wanted a TR808 but could never find/afford one. Jeez, I may even buy the whole setup!

    What do people think?
Where would be the best place in Dublin to purchase?
    I see gearformusic.ie are doing a pre-order - are the reputable?

It's VA no matter how they market it/fancy term it, it will never be an 808/909! It's all about the subtle differences!

Yeh, I've done bit more research and see there's some negativity that's it's not analogue and I understand it'll never be an original

But I don't think I'll ever afford the original or trust buying one second hand.

This looks like a good setup for the price (but maybe not for the purests)

I've had the luxury of sticking a lot of the newer VST against the premium hardware and it's pretty much game over now - one bonus will be that a lot of the older gear will get sold on for the enthusiasts.

D-16 pretty much nailed the 303 and their recent Lush 101 has that stability at the top end that most software VSTs have been missing.

I'm yet to see something give sequential circuits a run for it's money in software form - against something that really shone when pushed/resonated fully.

This Aria gear - the first thing the pros will do is wack the resonance up to see if it's even close.... If it is - watch ebay for the bargains, if not then watch ebay for the cheap aria gear ;)
