Mobile data not staying off

    If I switch off mobile data on my Samsung S3 - when WiFi is available for example - it does not remain off but comes on again automatically. I have read somewhere I should reset the phone. How do I do that?:confused:

    You do not need to turn off mobile data when connected to wifi as wifi will always take preference once you connect.

    How are you turning it off? Are you going to settings->wifi->mobile networks and turning it off from in there?

    Thanks for your response.

    If WiFi takes precedence then I can see why there is no need to switch off Mobile data (to save money)

    To answer your question I access Mobile data as follow:

    Settings->more settings->mobile networks->mobile data - untick

    also available via Settings->data usage
