Does anyone know of a dog minder in Cork please? My little guy is an indoor dog therefore I cannot put him in a kennel.

I don't know any dog minders in Cork, but perhaps you could check with your local vets, most will have a noticeboard with local services such as dog minding or home boarding. Better again, you could ask your vet or the nurses/staff if they can personally recommend one, they may have left their own dogs, or know the minders as one of the customers of the practice.

Just on kennels, plenty of indoor dogs I know go to kennels, and any kennels I have visited are indoors, although not as homely or a substitute for being in a minders own home. The main reason why a dog wouldn't suit kennels would be if they stressed easily, or perhaps suffered from separation anxiety, or reacted to the noise of other dogs in close quarters and how they would get on with other dogs during exercise/socialisation periods. One of mine absolutely hates kennels, while the other has no problem at all. Both indoor dogs, medium sized.

    Maybe check this out? http://www.corkpetsitters.ie/

They say they are fully insured and garda checked, but no harm in making sure of that.
