Is parking a car in Portarlington train station for a couple of days a good idea?

Is the car park reasonably secure, or would it be a bad idea? It'd be on a weekend in a couple of weeks time.

    Cheers.

I'm not sure how you'd define secure. the place is wide open, but there are security cameras. This means that if somebody does break into your car you can probably get a video of it. The Car Park is also completely separate from the station, so its not as if the guys in the station keep an eye on it either. I get the train on an almost daily basis and hence often leave my car there overnight (after a few drinks) without any incidents so far. Every now and again you hear of a car being broken into, but I would only estimate that at 2-3 occurences a year. If anybody thinks different, please feel free to correct me.

How secure is any carpark really, id be more worried about muppets hitting my car than it being robbed tbh.
