Channelplus H37XL Hortsmann Heating System

    Hi,

    I moved into a house, that has solar panels, and oil heating.

    Heating is controlled by a Channelplus H37XL Hortsmann control System.

    The heating is divided into 3 zones - downstairs heating, upstairs heating, Water.

    The thing is, the Downstairs and the Upstairs radiators will only turn on , provided I have the water zone on.

    So , if I put the downstairs or the upstairs zones on on there own, nothing happens. The burner will only start up once I switch on the water zone.

    Also, a separate problem - all the water in the hot water taps will stay cold, unless I turn on the shower for a while. Then the hot water will start running to the taps, for an hour or so. It will then go cold again, until I turn on the shower again!!!

    any advice much appreciated
