Possible Scam?

    Hi There

    I just had a call on my mobile, from a blocked number, from an Eastern European sounding gentleman claiming he was from Eircom technical support asking about the issue I had last week with eVision, and wanted to send out a technician to take a look at it. 

    As I am not an eVision customer I thought this all sounded a little fishy so I asked this gentleman to call out my Eircom customer number, to which he responded with a phone number, which wasn't mine.

    I told the gentleman this wasn't a customer number, it was a phone number, nor was it my phone number.

    He quickly hung up.

    Just wondering if this was a scam?

    This does sound quite odd, I cannot tell for sure if this was a scam but I can check your account for eircom reps activity if you would like to PM me your account details?
