Got the XXL strawberry jam for my porridge before it was yummy.
Did anyone get the fresh strawberries? How big were they might make a nice cheesecake for the weekend.

Holy shmokes. I got around to trying that German beer called Perlenbacher, and I have to say it's got to be the nicest beer I have tried in a very long time. A man making love to his beer is what is happening here.

You can taste the quality. The only thing was, when I went into Lidl today, they said that there is no deal with 8x bottles for €7.29, they never heard of the deal here in swords co. Dublin, but 6 for €7.29 was well worth it anyway. Lovely beer and still a good deal imo.

Thought the XXL was an in store offer in all lidl's, they are usually stacked at the end of an isle ... Not with the alcohol but usually near it.

Edit, I see you asked asked staff, sorry, just thought you may have missed them. Pity very good offer for the Xxl.

a pallet of the stuff in roscommon store 7.29 for 8, tbh i think 7.29 for 6 is good value as it is nice lager, your local staff must be stashing it for themselves

I'll bring my magnifying glass with me tomorrow when I go to pick some more up and will use it in every nook & cranny to find this deal.

Strange though that the folk in Lidl never heard of the deal because a lot of people know of this deal in a lot of different areas. I'll find out if they are stashing it for themselves tomorrow, because if it was me, I'd do the same, lovely beer, glad I tried it. Will be sticking with this beer for a long time.

6 for 7.29 is still great. 8 for 7.29 means bringing the car along :P

Unreal. That guy I was talking to in Lidl yesterday was new and didn't cop it that the XXL 8 box of perlenbacher was in stock, Like another poster said here, the XXL box is in a different area in the shop, so they did have this deal in the end in Lidl swords just beside JC's supermarket.

I did bring the car, and filled the boot up

The best before end of these 8 box XXL is 21.12.2014.

Plenty of the XXL's Perlenbacher in Ashbourne last night. I'm regretting just buying the one now.

I don't understand why Perlenbacher @ 91c a bottle is a bargain.
It was 83c a bottle two weeks ago. The regular price was €6.99 for six, now €7.29

They had none of the 8 pack Perlenbacher in Lidl in Wexford in clonard today. Only the 6 pack for the same price .
