Decent beer-garden / smoking areas in Dublin pubs in winter

Looking for somewhere for a group of smokers (yeah, I know) to have a night out. Any pubs outside of the city centre where you wouldn't freeze to death if you stayed in the beergarden/smoking area for the night? In this instance we're hoping for the Castleknock/Blanch/Lucan part of the city but any ideas for any part of Dublin welcome.
If only there was a Temple Bar Pub somewhere with parking....any recommendations?
    Thanks.

The halfway house on the Navan road has a good sheltered smoking area
